Personal Reflection (NEwater visit)

The trip to the NEwater plant was both fun and enriching. We learned some important points like the problems Singapore is facing with water, Why Singapore cannot rely on rain water or water bought from malaysia on long terms and how the Singapore government is planning to solve the problems. We also learned concepts like how water is recycled is recycled into NEwater by ultrafiltration, osmosis and ultra-violetradiation and how Singapore is raising awareness of saving water like making mascots like Water Wally to make people save and keep water clean. One interesting thing i learned during the trip is how small the holes are for the filters used to ultrafilter the water. To save water we could use less water when bathing, cleaning, use a cup when brushing our teeth and try to save as much water as you can whenever you are carrying out a water related activity.
